watched Pink Panther over the weekend. first off the movie seems to have zero correlation to the actual Pink Panther, except that there's a huge pink diamond in the movie that's called the Pink Panther diamond. loved Steve Martin's Closeau character. he looked like a genuine goofball and the french accent was insanely funny. i could go on and on about how funny it was but it just wouldnt come out right. it's one of those "well i guess you had to be there" kinda things.

oh yeah finally remembered something else i wanted to blog about for awhile- Curling is like the coolest(pun intended) sport in the world! you release the stones in a bowling like manner and ur teammates scrub away the ice to reduce friction or something to determine where the stone lands. thereafter the playing process is kinda like shuffleboard where u knock each other's stuff out while attempting to remain within the rings. hahaha i never knew that it was a real sport ever since i first saw it on Amazing Race. i'd always thought it was some cockanathan task cooked up by the show haha.

hmm watching some EPL highlights just now got me thinking. how cool would it be to actually attend a Man Utd match at Old Trafford, the Theatre of Dreams; or an England game when Wembley is reconstructed. that, for me, would be an unbelievable experience i think. and i shall aspire to fulfill either, or both, one day haha. hmm speaking of things to do, i reckon i should attend an SHE concert the next time they come around or something haha.

hmm been having a rather frustrating weekend. well ok it goes like this, normally when i play dota with zh josh teng ks etc i get frustrated when we dont work well together. but this weekend, i didnt play with any of them at all. so i didnt get to become frustrated. but yet i'd rather be frustrated whilst playing with them cos i'd rather play with friends any day. so in a nutshell im frustration by the lack of getting frustrated this weekend. make sense?

on another topic i was reading Neil Humphreys' article about (what else?) the whole Tammy episode with the sex video on handphone thingy. he was ranting about progress as usual haha. he wrote something like "the salesman told me about some camera phones with lots of pixies having blue teeth". man that just takes the cake doesnt it. being able to write in a tongue-in-cheek kinda way never ceases to amaze me. im extremely awed by the author of Bizarro as well haha. being able to capture such satirical situations in a one-frame and often one-liner comic is unbelievable.

oops forgot wat it was i wanted to add. anyway just played a dota game with zh. man was bloody brilliant. well we lost yeah sure. but the interplay was as flawless as possible. in any other game woulda won. too bad one leaver and one retard :D gg!

seem to be losing every bloody dota game this weekend. and its not like im playing terribly. fair pisses me off. dont evdn know why i bother sometimes. bah gonna get out of the damn house

sweet man reality tv shows are back with a blast. survivor, my #1 fave reality tv show and AMI which is #2. think Amazing Race is gonna start soon as well. hopefully there are more colourful contestants there too. anyway survivor has been pretty intriguing so far. Casaya is on a winning streak whee. just waiting to see how the 4way alliance will implode since they pretty much cant stand each other more with each subsequent episode. also wonder how far Terry will last in the game. i mean its like he's already in power and should be safe for quite awhile yet. and and when people finally realise like "hey, this dude is getting to influential, let's vote him out" then tadaaah he has the immunity idol and those who tried to blindside him will get banged. ouch. so far the only shame is that Misty's been voted out. but hey there's still Danielle :D oh yeah which remidns me, on AMI it kinda sucks that Becky was kicked out. i mean ok fine so the singing was pretty bad even to someone as non-musical as me haha. but at least she ups the watchability factor on the show haha. damn now that i am reminded of watchability, i recalled that Jacqueline's been voted off Star Idol. ARGH! aksjfhasjkdhasjkdh. grumble.

weekend rahrah! anw think keith was trying to throw together some gathering last night but i didnt go in the end. firstly the timing was kinda off. like i'd have to leave within an hour of reaching home after work, that or i could go direct and stone for 2 hrs. basically one of those in between timing situations. secondly there's the fact that serene centre isnt the most convenient place to travel to and back. it's tiring enough as it is having to travel from home to clementi everyday of the workweek. twice a day too ugh but i digress. thirdly theres the small thing about me going to the doctor's last night to boot. been running a temperature for a couple of days now. wanted to rough it out since i was contemplating taking mc next week instead so didnt wanna make it too often keke. but despite sleeping at 10+ for three days and all, the situation didnt improve any. so yeah i had an mc for today and my weekend started prematurely.

argh taking mc on a friday is retarded. its a short day of the week, well albeit by only 30mins but still. and moreover i think i couldve gone to play soccer today. making the working part of the day even shorter. oh well. at least i managed to catch survivor and AMI earlier than usual haha. and got some rest during the day too. ok now i shall see how eventful this weekend will be.

Wednesday, February 22

wah wednesday is like tv night or something man. haha started off watching AMI for like 1/2 an hr till Star Idol starts, then watch the Channel 55 show at 9 and then watch A Light Affair now haha. wow Ayla is like the ultimate overachiever can? senator's daughter, basketball scholarship, AMI finalist, throw in Miss USA also want anot wah lau eh power. and i felt her rendition of Reflection was outstanding. apart from her also kinda rooting for Becky a bit cos of looks haha. up till today she was "the hot twin" as described to me by colleagues.

mm and developments on that 55 9pm show is getting interesting. cant recall the title. but its regarding the battle between Chu and Han. man i love these period dramas. more so if there are martial arts and swordplay inside haha. chinese history is really quite fascinating.

oh and since i've posted. its safe to assume im fine. well mostly anyway. have a headache and a slightly high temperature. but i'll survive. woop woop halfway through the week baby

hmm seem to have very low energy levels nowadays. yesterday for example, played soccer for just over an hour and was feeling damn shag after that. i mean granted it was 3-on-3 street soccer with lots of running up and down. but up till a week or so ago i could get through games without feeling so winded. guess not playing for one week really made some difference. due to tiredness and stuff decided to go to bed at around 10 plus instead of 11 plus. partly also due to the fact that i've decided to abstain from weekday dota this week to see if it improves my weekend performance haha. maybe burnt out so keep losing. then this morning was also having slight breathing difficulties. im thinking it might have been due to overexertion from soccer, i mean i sure as heck hope its not anything serious. dont want to make headlines as the umpteenth NS dude collapsing sia. was abit scared actually.

in fact i think i better go sleep now also and hope when i wake up tmr im free of this ailment. at the moment its better than this morning, but i still feel some slight trouble inhaling v deeply. maybe its just psychological la i dunno. well in a nutshell, if this turns out to be my last post then you can probably guess what happened to me -shudder-

went out lanning today with some canoeist ppl. haiz.. won the first, but the 2nd, an epic battle lasting over an hour, resulted in a loss. ARGH! mumblex.. after yesterday's Fun-O-Rama today really seems dull by comparison. and compared to today tmr will be even worse. AHHHH start of another workweek. after mixing with all my friends yesterday im in the kind of slack holiday groove again haha. sigh.

and ppl keep asking if the girl in my msn userpic is my gf. i mean like hello? on one hand its me, all un-hot. and there's Alyssa Chia. if someone looking like that was my gf i'd say some dark magic was at work or something haha. i mean even someone with a healthy dose of self-esteem wont dream tt far la. awww nvm, i shall bide my time in NS since i have no chance to meet ppl. and hope for all the best for the dragon girls in uni next year keke.

okok i shall go curl up in bed with a copy of 8 days or something.

ok went to Fun-O-Rama today. pretty much the best decision i've made in a really long time haha. met up with zh and outram then with the tengs at AC itself. right from the getgo, there were a couple of really hot looking girls at Buona Vista station. and that, im proud to say, was but a mere taste of what was to come for the rest of the day. i mean seriously EVERYWHERE u turn u see really good looking girls everywhere. some ex students. friends of ex students. current students. friends of current students. from a stranger's point of view, i'd swear they thought there was some social engineering going on and that hot people only had other hot people as friends. i mean seriously man, where DO these hot people go for the next 729 days before the next Fun-O-Rama? cos if i find out i shall go too haha.

well talked to mrs sivam, mrs sharon loh, and mrs yap. i was quite determined to ask least find the latter 2 before the day was over anyway. haha mrs loh asked me why i din buy tickets, made a quick save by saying i bought from tengchi (who bought from her). was true anyway. then i didnt even see mrs yap haha, cos she wasnt wearing glasses and stuff. but she still recognises me apparently. apart from the teachers, most importantly also got to meet up with siska again. man.. havent seen nor talked to her in a really long time. gave her a call and at that time she said she was gonna leave soon so i thought ok no point then. so awhile later at the canteen was surprised when she called me and did that kinda "look behind you" trick. ehh i thought only i'm lame enough to do things like that, apparently not. so anyway had a really nice chat with her. how's she been and stuff like that. actually mostly involves me jacking her about something or another, just like old times during phys lessons haha. ahhhh, realised how much i've missed those. she looks somewhat different as well. so thinking about her record and from past experience, i prob wont get to meet up with her again till next year haha.

also met louisa later on and she "dissed" me for not going for class parties hahaha. man the whatever-look she gave when i was trying to retort was priceless. she also pointed out where the rest of my classmates were. saw debbie andrew jason kenneth and angela. dont think any others were there. that or i didnt see properly cos of the rain haha. was also hanging around with luke josh etc afterwards. oh yeah also saw many other friends there, crescens from bslc.. david from aslc.. jonk from AC.. and some others. nice to meet everyone again sia. wooot

all in all a really fantastic day.

oh noooooooo yesterday after blogging i went to watch the Star Idol results show and Leann's not been revived. ahhhhh. sigh she has really nice eyes, second only to Ruby Lin haha. well i cant think of anyone else with those big eyes. big in a nice nice way of course. sigh. to be honest her acting isnt so great. but then again neither is Bryan's. and with Leann at least there's that extra added incentive to continue watching the show haha. siiiiiiigh.

hmm also just finished playing a dota game. was playing with zh. did well at the start, but things fell apart. ended with me quitting the game and him following. took the argument to msn even. accused him of being selfish and overconfident, which he is. and he accused me of being overly sensitive and a whiner which i would say is a pretty apt description really. those exact words (by both parties) werent used of course, but thats the gist of it. i wouldnt exactly say im angry but rather, bitter and perhaps a deep sense of being let-down, bordering on betrayal. it's the equivalent of thinking someone has your back and at the crunch you find out that they dont?

very very disappointing. if things go on as such, i see no reason to continue playing dota since playing with my main dota partner will be no different from playing with strangers, with everybody caring about personal gain and not for the team. i daresay i've attained a certain level of mastery such that i play it more for the team dynamics more than individual flair. and if that's not even present, why bother?

okaaaaay another vday has passed and for the fourth year in a row, had no events lined up for the day -.- well ok actually one could argue that for the past 20 years i've had nothing lined up but hey up till j1 nobody really gave a shit. i mean in sec sch was like "vday? screw that let's go LAN/bowling/movie" yadda yadda. ok it's rather sad that i'm always striking out. well actually it wouldnt be totally accurate to say that i keep striking out. after all i can only be considered to have participated once before. other times was always simply in the stands cheering on other ppl. somehow or rather feel that a relationship will really let one grow. it's inescapable. so anyway saw many couples on the way home (v depressing) and also saw many schoolgoers with flowers and stuff, which was actually even more depressing. i mean in school at least everyone could have a piece of vday in our little ways. i still remember vday in AC. one year (err cant remb which now..) they were playing Fools Rush In (Can't Help Falling In Love With You) by a*teens. i think it was j1 because i remember being rather overwhelmed by the whole experience haha. yes laugh, but most ppl are from single sex sec schools and are thus deprived. well apart from the music, there was also the decor adding to the ambience. and definitely not forgetting the flowers! haha the guys would buy flowers for the girls in class and then surprise them. ok not surprise after all it's anything but. but still! sigh the fun of it all.

sigh ~~youth~~ school life is fleeting. and i miss it suddenly

another weekend bites the dust. well bought toto for the first time on friday haha $3.50 system 7. too bad like none of the numbers matched haha. think probability of none matching is prob higher than matching 1 or 2 heh. so since i was there i also bought score (or issit strike) for the first time as well. hmm a certified non virgin gambler now haha. well even tho toto din win at least the man utd one did! whee. man what a first half that was. totally dominating. great goals too by van nistelrooy and ronaldo.

hmm had a pretty uhh fiesty day playing dota today. totally ran down everybody. omg theres road rage and theres dota rage. sigh. i guess i take it rather seriously sometimes. but then again i dont really buy into the "just for fun" bit from ppl who do said task rather often. in this case: playing dota on a weekly basis. i mean ffs, wats the fun in losing every time. isnt striving to improve and thereby winning a more appropriate goal. zz ok anw just posting cos i havent in a rather long time i thnk.

yay its mid week again. two more days to the weekend. i dunno times seems to pass really slowly sometimes and at times it passes really fast. like when im stoning in the office waiting for a certain time like breakfast, lunch, exercise or going home. on the other hand once at home im thinking oh wow, 3 days down 2 to go. haha basically my work week is as such:

Monday - arrive at work, countdown to breakfast, countdown to lunch, countdown to soccer, go home
Tuesday - arrive at work, countdown to breakfast, countdown to lunch, countdown to going home anticipating soccer on Wed
Wednesday - arrive at work, countdown to breakfast, countdown to lunch, countdown to soccer, go home and antipate that after Thurs, it will practically be the weekend
Thursday - arrive at work, countdown to breakfast, countdown to lunch, countdown to going home and enjoying the "last night before the weekend"
Friday - arrive at work, countdown to breakfast, countdown to lunch, countdown to HLS run, go home

haha so yeah. becoming quite soccer siao nowadays. good form of exercise too i reckon. sigh just had a sucky dota game cos the other team was pathetically lousy. okok looking forward to the star idol results show soon. im really biased towards the girls haha. sigh why did leann get voted out last week.. she has such nice eyes!! reminds me of ruby lin haha. aiya honestly it wouldnt be too bad if they jsut kept the good lookers and offered them contracts. i mean its MediaCorp, if u look good and arent hopeless at acting, you've got an audience. it's not friggin Broadway.

meant to blog yesterday, but didnt have time. so anyway spent the past few days visiting grandma's relatives, then grandpa's relatives etc etc. i guess to me they seem to have lost significance, and dare i say relevance, cause they arent my cousins per se. more like my dad's cousins etc. anyway havent even counted my takings haha. played soccer yesterday from 10+ to like 1. burnt and feverish now as a result. ugh.

dont really have the mood to blog abt anything else at the moment.
