whoops just woke up at about 9.30 hmm thats kinda late haha. half the morning gone. still remember when i was in SISPEC i used to make sure i wake up no later than 8 or 830 during weekends in order to maximise it keke. that's not such a critical issue now since i can go home every day heh.
been pretty busy in camp with the ICT Exercise sigh. away from my com most of the time, which probably also means im missing all the crazy spams from the guys. anyway went to watch X3 to unwind yesterday. i feel that it couldve been made into a much longer and more fulfilling movie though. (don't worry no spoilers, or least not by my definition of spoiling) firstly like josh said the 1v1 fight scenes shouldve been made into longer sequences in order to like show the nuances of each mutant. and secondly the new characters that were introduced couldve been made to play a bigger part in the movie. felt that there was so much potential for further development. well Famke Janssen looked pretty weird in this installment, kind unlike the previous shows where she was actually pretty. at least the saving point is that Ellen Page looks pretty sweet as Shadowcat.
went for the Da Vinci Code Breaker Race yesterday. haha on thursday i received some call from this representative from the marketing company helping Sony Pics. apparently i hadnt signed up for the Challenge yet. well duh since i dont check my email all that regularly haha. so anyways got ks to be my partner for the race haha. i doubt if i couldve made a better choice really. in terms of intelligence and quickthinking and all that, i've known ks long enough to know that he's good at such stuff. turned out to be a pretty good decision too. we were breezing through the challenges until we got stuck at the stupid Orchard MRT station. we searched every square inch of the station for the Vitruvian Man and found the picture only like 30mins later gosh. sigh still i felt it was a really good effort on our part. and well at the very least we got to hang out together again. havent done that in a really long time. and i'll be damned we can still click very well. highfive! well at least we got ourselves the movie premiere ticket haha.
on a side note, Liverfool won the FA Cup bleh. West Ham deserved it. they got screwed over by some Stevie G brilliance.
had a pretty eventful weekend i would say. firstly on saturday night, went to watch MI3 with the guys at cine. wouldve liked to check out the new Cathay at DG but cine has its perks too i guess *snigger* the movie was pretty good i'd say. much better than MI2 for the simple fact that the 2nd in the series was really forgettable. hell i dun even remember who the lead actress was. i wouldnt say that the plot nor the action was revolutionary etc but i mean it was a nice mix. one of those shows that makes u go away thinking "ah good movie" without having to spend 999 hours analysing what was good about it. the presence of Maggie Q helped as well i guess haha. not very familiar with her shows, in fact i doubt if i've seen any, but she looked pretty hot in all the costume changes. speaking of costume changes, after the show at like 11+ they were quite a lot of ppl swarming around outside the building entrance. guess it's one of those popular meeting places. suffice to say, with so many ppl, and on a saturday night i might add, it was a veritable flesh parade. can da kai yan jie hurhur.
on sunday went to play lan with zh alex ter sw etc at paradiz. surprisingly won all 3 games. first game was pretty much just zh and myself fighting the other team doh. managed one critical push to rax them and that was the turning point. was getting into the late game which was probably suicidal for us since he was Chen and i was Furion. the next 2 games were -dm -ar. my fave type of matchup haha. really shows a person's versatility with the game. for me, to judge a person's skill level is as simple as watching him play a -dm -ar game and see how he adapts. first round of heros i was Pudge and zh was Doom. we combined quickly to take out the Sand King before level 6 cos we knew ter was proficient with sk. i died shortly after and respawned as Nerubian Weaver. and didnt die anymore after that haha. had like Buriza and Relic. haha and just overwhelmed them with pure attrition. the final game was really a surprise win. zh alex ter sw were on the other team together. i fully expected to get my ass handed to me on a platter. surprisingly though, with a generous dose of luck, we prevailed. firstly my allies managed to get easy heros like SA Venge etc. the turning point in this one was when both teams had a supercreep in the same lane and it became a 5+1 v 5+1 battle. we swarmed their heros, they panicked and dispersed, leaving their creep to die. following that momentum, 5 of us and the creep broke 2 lanes worth of rax and from then on it was just a matter of time really. i eventually ended up with leviathan haha. well not too shabby i guess. bought pretty general items as usual, s/y and guinsoo. played CS for awhile after that. slightly rusty now haha. went for lunch with alex zh and sw afterward. had a pretty nice time catching up.
woot woot short week this week. and it's already tuesday!
Chelski are EPL Champs. Sigh it was inevitable. Worst of all though Wayne Rooney looks set to miss the entire World Cup. Surely England have become rank outsiders once again. Sigh. Well been rambling on and on about soccer in other forums, don't have the energy to regurgitate everything here haha.
Downloading Open Office at the moment. Influenced by SAF i guess haha. The Open Office spreadsheet program Calc is really good. Dont get the stupid errors that Excel gives. but the OO equivalent for word processing and presentations are much less user friendly compared to MS office i feel. ah well. prob wont have to use excel out of SAF anyhow haha.
woot woot reaching the end of the week. weekend comin up! actually i still dunno wat to do over the weekend haha. perhaps i shall go watch MI3 with the guys. hmm shrug. what i'd really like to do though, is play some soccer. heck i havent kicked a ball around in ages. almost getting withdrawal symptoms :D on the bright side, i did go jogging yesterday. also have started to ensure that i eat some fruits daily and drink plenty of water. time for appearance overhaul! haha.
