ok back in singapore now after a heck of a fun time in KL with alvin, jon and edward.

started off with thursday night, when alvin and i went over to edward's place to stay over so the next morning can take cab heh. anyways we watched the Czech v Italy game at some kopitiam before going back to catch abit of shut eye.

next morning, woke up and headed over to a nearby hawker centre for some light breakfast, before taking cab to golden mile, where jon met up with us. for the next couple of hours, we were on the bus heading towards KL. after what seemed like an eternity, we arrived at The Federal, the hotel where we were about to spend the next 2 nights. however, due to some cockup with the reservations, we had to wait until 4 to get our connecting rooms. seeing as it was about 1 at that time, we figured it would prob be a better idea to just dump the bags with the bell service and head over to Mid Valley to do a little preliminary shopping haha. ate hong kong cuisine at Kim Gary there, before spending like the next couple of hours wearing ourselves out exploring the entire Mid Valley Complex. dang that's like saying u wanna explore the whole of Suntec at one go. as for dinner, we joined up with jon's friend, Felicia as well as 2 of her friends at this beef noodle place. it was pretty good actually, except i cant figure why my order came with mixed parts when i ordered brisket. shrug oh well. so after dinner, followed immediately (i know, sounds insane) by supper, it was kinda late, so we just trooped back to the hotel to watch football.

waking up to our only full day in KL, we wasted no time in heading for Berjaya Times Square. i was extremely hesitant (read: scared) to ride on the rollercoaster, whose tracks twisted and turned in a way i wouldnt have thought physically possible. well i did ride on it in the end but it was a little anti-climatic because the starting part was the sss-sccc-scariest for me. i mean ok, tight turns and loop-the-loops are expected, but the bugger corkscrewed around so i was surprised. well needless to say, since im blogging, i survived the ride. the bumper cards thingy was fun as well. now that's one ride that never gets boring. felt rather nauseous after one of those spinning rides so decided to take it easy after that. we finished jalan-ing at Times Square and then headed to Starbucks to chill out for awhile. we then headed over to the Chinatown in search of bargains. it was fairly crowded, but at the least i managed to get a printed T and a Japan jersey for myself and a Korea jersey for my dad. after that, we went back to the hotel to get ready to check out the local clubbing scene. to be honest it was a real letdown. i mean the KL zouk was playing trance, which basically sounds really terrible to me. we left before the closing time and went for a spot of supper before going back.

in our last (half)day in KL, we checked out the tri-connecting shopping centres of BB Plaza, Sungei Wang and Lot 10. got something for my mum there. then pretty much time flew as we tried to check out as much as possible before getting back on the singapore bound bus. so that pretty much sums up the trip in general. ok gonna watch the england match now. perhaps i'll add some other specific details if i can remb.
